Last year was a great boost for UK-based artists. Their biggest lift yet this year seems to have come from Live & Let Live. Starting 30th March, the Forest Gate pub will be incorporating live performances by UK-based Ugandan artists in its Friday night karaoke.
"The evening will begin with the usual karaoke, then we'll get the artists performing. They can choose to do karaoke, or perform their own music."

Pier One Nightspot will be closed til March 9. Reasons for the closure of the Canning Town club are still scanty but an explanation from the club's DJ Dan Luv imply that the follows closure follows an early closure to the club on Friday night in respect to customer safety.
