 The turn out was great. The venue was top class but the 1st Ugandan Convention in UK still left the community split through the middle. Even for those involved in the organisation. While guests anxiously waited for the next act, it was chaos backstage as Bebe Cool reminded everyone how he was the biggest of the pack and teaming up with Misach Semakula and Eddie Kenzo to dominate the event. Amongst the crowd, some of the VIPs felt the pinch as many were left without seats-including socialite cum singer Zari who was told to get stuffed when she tried to claim her VIP table.

Misach Semakula, Bebe Cool and Eddie Kenzo hijacking of the show meeant that most of the advertised UK-based artists did not get a chance to perform. Even Catherine Kusasira, Bella and Priscilla Kalibbala were heard questioning why they had to perform in procession, leaving the rest of the evening to 'the big three' men. One UK-based artists overhead Misach tipping Bebe off to get on stage (singing live) so as to leave those who use CDs out. The 'Fashion Extravaganza' that had been scheduled to start ahead of the music entertainment ended up becoming a 'filler' to make up for the chaotic schedule. The list is endless. In terms of attendance the convention was a huge success, apart from that we will have to wait til next year.
